Mission Statement

To prepare students to take their place in an information-rich society and in the professions as active, critical and ethical participants. Our activities promote effective, responsible use of communications media and technologies by individuals, organizations, industries and government.

NewsRoom Studies

Create stories in the forms of readers, wraps, and cut & copy

Gather local and national stories through research and interviews with those on campus and off-campus. Format stories in readable scripts for anchors.

Live Newscasts

Work with a group of 12+ students and two faculty to create live newscasts in the studio. Producers create a schedule and back time stories to fit into a 10-minute live newscast over CommRadio internet radio.
